The Lord of Silent Passing

On the second day, the Father-Sun turned his eyes once more to his shattered child, and saw that the the destruction wrought by his voice. Great plumes of ash and dust rose from the land in the places his words fell, shading his child from the heat of his gaze. Father-Sun then took a single spark of flame from his great body, holding it above and away from the inferno of his being. He spat into his hands liquid fire, and caused the shape of the flame to be that of the first man; he breathed into the flame flickering flashes of white life; he spoke to the living conflagration, igniting the word of mind within its new-beating heart.

Bound to him by body, life and mind, the living flame went down upon the world, and saw that the words of the father-sun had fallen as burning stars, cratering the landscape and scorching all that lay near them. He saw the new life that had been burned, and it still lived, tormented and ignited by the voice of father-sun.

The flame passed across the lands, gathering the flame and all that it had burned to his breast. The tormented were given the peace of death, and silence followed.
